Saints Sean Peyton Appeals Bounty Gate Ruling!

Coach Sean Peyton of the New Orleans Saints decided to appeal the ruling of "Dictator Goodell" Friday...The one year suspension levied upon him was unprecedented...and in my humnle opinion very excessive..I wouldn’t be surprised if several teams in the NFL had similar "outside of contract incentives"...But as the old saying goes...It's not who all is cheating that counts...it's who all get caught...I think I may have gotten that quote from Charles Barkley...(thinking to myself..)Or was it Barry Bonds...

The appeal would give Sean Peyton the definite terms of his suspension...Its been reportted he can have some contact with the team...but how much is the question...We may have the first coach calling plays from the comfort of his home...

The Saints have been in contact with Bill Parcells to become the possible interim head coach...Parcells is highly respected by Peyton...but does he really want a 1 year gig? If coaches are anything like Quarterbacks these days I would think not...The Saints do need some strong personalities though to come in and continue the winning trend they have experienced for the past 3 yrs..The Saints lost 2 draft picks, there defensive coordinator, an assistant coach, and GM were all suspended alongside of Peyton., In a league of parity where every yard counts things can easily go in the wrong direction for a franchise, even one that’s considered fairly elite.

This penalty was supposedly so severe because during the year long investigation, it came out that Peyton openly and knowing lied about the situation to Dictator Goodell along with his staff...

My thought about the “Bounty Gate”...is this...football is a violent game...that’s why we like it..! Human nature leads us to like to see blood, and men thrash each other. The NFL knows that, and for the longest that’s how they have made there money. That how they've made football the largest sport in the world. So I look at it as being a bit hypocritical of Dictator Goodell to come down on this one particular team so harshly when...hitting...and being ultra physical is the name of the game...along with GETTING PAID IN FULL!.
