I love pro wrestling ..namely the WWE but there is a huge dilution of the product do to a couple of circumstances. Firstly, make no mistake about it the WWE is a monopoly. Vince Mcmahon owns upwards of 90% of the wrestling talent in the United States! So the first problem without question is too much "product".
The 2nd issue which isn't necessarily bad but it doesn't always make for quality wrestling is a equal opportunity approach..where everyone gets a shot..even several shots..This is is good in theory but its a quantity over quality mentality..If wrestlers arent exceptional in there mic skills and in-ring ability like your Bret Harts .. Shawn Micheals..Kurt Angle...Stone Cold..I don't think they should be on a pay-per view.
Lastly the thing that is diluting wrestling and making it unwatchable at times is the declining prestige of the titles. I Love Rey Mysterio he is one of the best faces in the history of wrestling, but him winning the wwe title was a joke..can we make the storylines somewhat believable/comparable to real life..Kevin Nash put it best he said"the wwe was founded on larger then life characters"...namely Andre the Giant,Hulk Hogan..Ultimate Warrior...see the theme??? Let the champ look like a champ..and stay champion for at least a year this gives absolute prestige to the titles ..The IC championship is given out like its candy..I remember early 90s to late 90s when being IC champ was a big deal with (Razor Ramon and Bret Hart..)
There doing a great job with John Cena..he looks like a champ..he has the mic and (some technical) skill..so there is the blueprint to expanding the WWE to unseen heights!

Gay Athletes Exposed
I want to talk about a moderately controversial topic today. The first major Homosexual athlete. Sure Jason Collins came out recently..but he wasn't really relevant in any way.
I have a couple of likely candidates in mind, some may suprise you!.. Ill start with someone in his hayday was the best running back in the NFL...He carried his team the Miami Dolphins figuratively on his back for 3'straight years, his name is Leading the nfl in carrys by a running back..before suddenly..abruptly ..strangely leaving the league seemingly to just "find himself".. after not being able to adhere to the NFL's substance abuse policy. If you have not caught on yet I'm writing about Ricky Williams..Rickys initial sports illustrated cover even depicted him in a dress being married to Mike Ditka. Williams was always socially awkward and talked in a unmasculine way that lead me to believe he may be a little on the sweet side.
The next person we will look at who has largely flown under the radar is an actual championship winning point guard and now a fairly successful headcoach named Avery Johnson. Avery talks in away that automatically makes me think..dang.."this guy sounds a little funny"...noticeably funny..
Next were going to get into some currently relevant athletes/sports entertainers that are active and very relevant today and in these cases there is more concrete evidence supporting my claims..
Chris Bosh-The first couple of people I stated weren't so obvious but this one is a layup on the fast break! There are numerous pics showing Bosh looking and being feminine..so there you go.
Hulk Hogan- This one is a big shocker but that's the purpose of this article mostly to name names you might you normally would never think of in that manner. Hogan recently went through a nasty divorce where his wife accused him of being bisexual ..there is no more damning evidence then when your significant other reveals your sexual orientation!
Tim Duncan- Lastly we have the "Big Fundamental"..I have been saying this one for the longest. Similiarly to Hogan Duncan is going through a divorce where his wife has been stated as saying Duncan is bisexual and goes on to state his lover by name..also that Duncan bought him a house!
Just thoughts, facts, and opinions please don't shoot the messenger! If you like my uncensored opinions please bookmark my page and check out my fanpage on facebook (IntenseRivalrySports) like and share..also follow on google plus..ill follow back..thanx!!!

Iron Bowl Alabama vs. Auburn
Sticking with the theme of this blog there is a absolutely huge game happening this weekend Alabama vs. Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
This is no doubt one of sports biggest rivalries and in the famous words of "Good Ole J.R. on WWE ..this should be a real slobberknocker".!!!
This game has historic implications along with its normal rivalry atmosphere.. The Crimson Tide are looking for a 3rd straight national championship..Auburn hopes by knocking off the juggernaut they will put themselves in prime position for an upset of epic proportions.
Auburn has to be fuming and have all the motivation in the world to come out with a fury being measured as 10 1/2 point underdogs according to a recent betting line.

Kobe Bryant's 2yr. Deal
Kobe Bryant recently signed a new contract that will extend his career for the next 2 years worth over 48million dollars!! I'm all about getting "paid in full", but this is absurd considering all factors. Lets take an objective look at those factors in no specific order since they are all are of equal importance. Number one we have the health of Kobe Bryant, and how much of an impact he can actually make in this stage of his career. Kobe is 35 coming off a severe achilles tendoin injury that Shaq is on record saying this very same injury ended his career!..There was a recent ranking by ESPN posted that had Kobe ranked as the number 25 player in the NBA. So at best we have a questionably veteran player with great skills.Charles Barkley said it best though (I love Charle's quotes!)..He said "When your old,you don't get 100percent healthy..you just get old..no one beats father time". The next thing we will look at is the "state and future state of the Lakers".. The Lakers were a .500 team all last year..there a .500 team this year in a ultra competitive Western Conference..they need at least one other star..2 if we go ahead and give up on Pau Gasol. There is no bringing in 2 veteran stars when Kobe already absorbs half of the cap. The last thing we will look at here is what is the goal? Is the goal being the highest paid player or having a competitive championship caliber team? If the goal is title contention all arrows point toward sacrificing for the better of the team..Lebron did it..Jordan did it..Kobe and the Lakers whiffed on this one!

Derrick Rose Career on Life Support
Lets have a moment of silence for the career of the once promising all star point guard Derrick Rose. Ok maybe that's a little extreme but his career prospects are looking bleak at best after the announcement of another career ending injury. Its sad because I'm actually a D. Rose fan. He is a fairly humble athlete so its hard to wish bad will upon him. He along with his Bulls represented the greatest threat to the unholy alliance of Lebron James, Dewayne Wade, and Chris (don't call me soft) Bosh. The Bulls without without Rose simply don't have enough fire power in the form of playmaking and shooting to give the Miami Heat a serious run at this point. Well there's always next year!

Incognito Vs. Johnathan Martin
I have a unique perspective on the Johnathan Martin vs. Incognito scandal..This can also be applied to a lot of scandals...In my opinion the media often paints a picture for the public of percieved innocence and fault..If the media likes a individual and they fit the social norm..the media is more likely to defend them. Incognito is a big rude..slightly obnoxious alpha male...Johnathan Martin is the mild-mannered ..well educated guy that more fits social norms..The truth is the cultural norm in a football locker room are full of Incognito's...Many of the Dolphins players support Incognito. I'm not defending Incognitos behavior..he obviously crossed a pyschological line..but they exchanged over 1000 texts!! ..that clearly means they were friends..!!!! In this passive aggressive world though Incognito "the bad guy"... is thrown under the bus by the media prematurely.! That's my opinion.. check me out on facebook also on my fan page IntenseRivalrySports
